Susan Deren - Owner
I am a Registered Nurse and International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) trained colon hydrotherapist.
I have also pursued training in healing foods, nutrition, preventive health and wellness therapies from Institute of Integrative Nutrition as a Certified Holistic Health Coach.
I decided to change my career path after 24 years of nursing to become a colon hydrotherapist as a result of the health benefits I personally received over the years as a client of colon hydrotherapy. As a bedside nurse, every patient I have ever cared for has had some type of digestive issue. I also have personally suffered from digestive disorders my entire life. After having traditional medicine fail me by telling me “to eat more fiber & take laxatives” for chronic constipation. I was also given multiple prescriptions for indigestion, acid reflux, gastritis and duodenal ulcers. This concept of taking pharmaceutical drugs was not getting to the root of my problem & only treating the symptoms.
So I decided to take control of my own health by embarking on my own healing journey which opened me to the knowledge and awareness of a holistic approach by seeking the help of natural, Integrative medicine which lead me to drastically changing my diet, adding in the right supplementation & detoxifying my body through colon hydrotherapy. This combination helped heal my gut and to feeling vibrant health again.
As my health changed & I felt stronger, I embarked into the hobby of bodybuilding by competing in the bikini division. At the age of 40, I took 2nd place in the Masters National level.
I love nursing but my soul was calling for something else-a more natural, holistic way of serving others. My passion for gut health has continued to expand into holistic wellness as I saw how the correlation of one’s health & well-being was directly related to what we eat and particularly the digestive system. I believe when the body is well-nourished & detoxified, a state of wellness and balance can be restored. A healthy colon is essential to the overall wellness of the body.
My mission is to empower you to help you heal naturally because you deserve to feel good. You are worthy of abundant, thriving health, and you are capable of healing yourself naturally, just like I did.
